I offer support with:
Breastfeeding guidance and education
Troubleshooting challenges like mastitis, plugged ducts, and sore nipples
Recognizing and supporting postpartum emotional shifts, including anxiety and depression
Complementary approaches such as herbal remedies when appropriate
Helping you navigate those “what do I do now?” moments with clarity and calm
General newborn assessment and weight checks (this does not replace care from your pediatric provider)
Evaluating common newborn concerns such as rashes or jaundice, and helping determine when higher-level care may be needed
Assessing maternal factors including sleep deprivation, anxiety, physical healing, nutrition, and adjustment to the postpartum period
Think of this as experienced, steady support—someone to help you find solutions, feel grounded, and not have to figure it all out alone.
In alignment with my commitment to supporting women’s reproductive health and empowerment, my work as a Bodekas Taharah is a natural extension of that care.
In this role, I support women in understanding patterns of bleeding that fall outside of a typical menstrual cycle. This may include spotting, breakthrough bleeding, or questions that arise around newly married life or resuming intimacy after bleeding.
Complementary herbal therapeutics may be incorporated to help alleviate some of the more common concerns.
Examinations are conducted in a comfortable professional office setting, where sensitivity, privacy, and personal agency are prioritized. Women are fully in control of the pace, tone, and direction of the exam, with careful attention to the intimate nature of this work.
I also offer consultations for soon-to-be brides, providing guidance around intimacy, body awareness, and becoming more familiar and comfortable with their own bodies.
These consultations are intended to support women who observe the family purity laws of Judaism and are offered in conjunction with rabbinic guidance of your choosing.
This work does not replace care from an OB/GYN or Certified Nurse Midwife, but rather provides additional insight and support within this specific area of practice.
